Porterswood farm is a mixed livestock farm, mainly producing free range eggs from our flock of 12,000 birds.
We also rear free range Bronze Turkeys, Ross Cobb Cockerels and Embden Geese and 50 Head of cattle. We believe all our animals should be free range, as this produces tastier meat and eggs.
All our animals are fed natural cereal based diets, coupled with slower growing traditional breeds, produce a traditional flavour expected on Christmas day.
We only sell Bronze Turkeys as we feel that is the best Turkey for Christmas dinner. They come to farm at day old, reared, dry plucked, processed and hung on farm for a minimum of 7 days. We are a traditional family farm now in it’s 4th generation.
